This project upgraded 21 miles of the A14 and includes the new 12 mile bypass around Huntingdon. As Britain’s biggest road upgrade CDTS Ltd were employed by Lowther Forestry to undertake the seeding of grass and wildflowers across the entire scheme, amounting to over 100 hectares. This involved the use of several specialist bank tractors and hydroseeding machines.
The project has been recognized for its top performance by the Considerate Constructors Scheme and awarded the 2019 Ultra Site of the Year Award. This is the highest level of attainment in consideration and best practice and the pinnacle of excellence across the construction industry – CDTS Ltd are very happy to be part of this achievement.
